Just another school day......

A story told to me by my 1st grader's teacher.

Apparently Owen was coloring with a little girl in his class and they were having a conversation about marriage.

Girl: I am never getting married
Owen: But all girls have to get married.
Girl: Well I am not getting married.
Owen then says to his teacher "don't all girls have to get married" Of course she told him no they don't.

Owen: But if you want to have a baby you need to be married (bless his heart)
Girl: Well I don't want a baby.
Owen: But all girls want a baby.
Girl: I am too scared to have a baby.

Owen: But what if when you are older you see a hot guy.

End of conversation.

I love this boys train of thought, he kills me every time.

Look out Mickey, here we come......

Owen and I are going to Disney!!!!!! Shhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh, he doesn't know we are going.

He is 6 almost 7 and he went to disney when he was 10 months old and his sister and brother were 6 & 5, so they got to experience and remember the magic that disney holds.

Of course I feel bad that I am not taking them all, but we just can't afford a family of 5 at this time in our lives.

The oldest is going next year for her class trip, the middle child is going the year after for his class trip, so it was only fair that I get Owen to disney before he turns 13.

It will be magical for him because we will be there for his 7th birthday, a birthday that he will never forget.

I hope I can hold onto the secret for a few more weeks.......

Look Ma, I can go really fast.....

I wish I was a girl....

That is what my 10 year old son said and my 5 year old piped up and said "why, so you can have a VAGINA?"

I almost peed my pants.

Why does my 10 year old son want to be a girl you ask. Well it all started when his siter was born 15.5 months before him and she brought him up to like girly things. The only reason he wants to be a girl is so that he can learn to knit and sew like his big sister has learned. He looks up to her, that is his best friend and he wants to be like her. I can't blame him, she is pretty spectacular.

He is going to have the whole package one day. He already is a rugged young man when he is out mowing lawns with his dad or working along side his grandpa. He will know how to do it all, yet know how to be sensitive to a woman's needs.

I look forward to watching him grow into a young man that will make me proud as he makes me proud now.

Hard Boiled Egg - Do you know what is inside?

A conversation between a 5 year old and his dad.

Owen was looking in the fridge for something to eat. He sees an egg here is the conversation.

Owen: "What is this dad?"
Dad: "That is a hard boiled egg"
Owen: "What is that?"
Owen: "Oh I remember its the cooked egg with the cheese in the middle"

So there you have it. If you didn't know what was inside a hard boiled egg, you do now.

It is just cheese.

Rosie & Kelly Feud

Okay, did anyone see the feud between Rosie O'Donnell from The View and Kelly Ripa from Live with Regis and Kelly?

Do you know what it is about? It is about Clay Aiken putting his hand over Kelly Ripa's mouth and she pushed his hand away and said that that was a big no no and that she didn't know where his hand had been.

Now, Rosie is all up in arms cause she now says that Kelly is homophobic and if that were any straight guy she never would have said that. Puleeeeze Rosie, you need to get over yourself and realize that all statements are not homophobic related.

If someone put their hand on my mouth I would have said the same thing because I don't want someones icky hands on my mouth spreading who knows what.

Why would Kelly insinuate that Clay was stroking his penis or someone elses penis, never crossed my mind until Rosie brought it up. I think that Rosie has a sick mind to think like that when I am sure that 95% of those that watched it did not think like that.

It IS cold and flu season and who wants to get sick? Not me, so keep your hands to yourself.

Movie Theater Pet Peeve....

Why is it that when I take my kids to the movies an adult will sit in front of one of my children and that child then cannot see?

There could be no one in the theater, but they always choose the spot in front of my child to sit. Why don't they sit in front of me?

We don't go to the movies too often but when we do this usually happens.

I don't say anything to the person, but I will say to my child rather loudly "CAN YOU SEE?" It doesn't help though. We have been known to move.

I hate stupid people.
